T. A. Lumen is a Swiss-based cultural analyst and independent thinker writing under the banner Verum Vox ("voice of truth").

Thane Athele Lumen (T. A. Lumen) is a pseudonym used by the author of this blog in order to protect the privacy and safety of their family as well as avoiding the very real risk of a 'shit-storm' online with personal repercussions at work or within their community due to voicing opinions and thoughts that go against the contaporary public narrative.
What does the author want to share with the public?
Age: The author lives in Switzerland and belongs to the so called 'millienial' generation.
Passions: Reading is one of the authors passions as well as deeply reflecting on issues in politics, economy and society. Other interest include hiking, gardening and learning new skills (like writing this blog).
Educational background: The author has studied and taught English and travelled around the world to countries like Hong Kong, South Africa, Türkiye, Norway and England just to name a few. Their formal educational background is a vocational training in the Swiss insurance business. A few years in a local law firm resulting in some insight about the legal system of Switzerland. The author attempted to study a Bachelor of Science in Economy in Zurich, but stopped studying once it became apparent that the school focused heavily on memorizing and was not teaching knowledge that was up to date (e.g. drop shipping or the use of AI in business when it came to distribution etc.).
Values: T. A. Lumen values competence over a formal title. Research and forming an informed opinion is based on the principle 'truth over comfort'.
The mission:
T. A. Lumen would like to be a voice that expresses thoughts based on logic and data as a counterweight to the many voices online that are based in emotion and sensationalism. The themes and topics discussed in this blog were extensively read about and researched by the author.
Interacting with the audience through comments or personal messages on the blog or on social media is highly encouraged as well as sharing insights, different angles and sharing possible solutions.
And who knows? Maybe Lumens "voice of truth" is one day loud enough to lead to positive change in society and override modern myths used by politicians, the media, schools, economist and society...
